Dividing up a build

Hello! This is our first year building and I have enough students for three teams, however I dont know if I have enough parts yet. I want to have each team build a part of one Flop and connect it together. Is there a good chunk for each student to build? for example: team one builds steps 1-40 team two 41-57 or whatever

  1. You can buy the Vex IQ Competition Kit (2nd Generation) here: IQ Competition Kits - VEX Robotics, since each competition kit comes with the necessary parts to build one Hero Bot. (I don’t know if you will have to buy 3 since you have enough students for 3 individual teams).
  2. Since the Flop building instructions (2026-2027-viqrc-herobot-flop.pdf) has 282 pages (the rest are wiring), you can have each team build 94 pages each.
  3. Since you are new to Vex IQ (or just new entirely to Vex itself,) welcome!

Are they working at the same time? You could have them go through the build manual and look for the start of the next part and start on that.
