Why does your other team member have access to your account ?

Hi there, I would suggest speaking more kindly of your teammates when posting in the future, is a very important rule.
As for your question, in the VEX IQ competition, all of what you are allowed to do is listed in the game manual. You can find the manual in a bunch of different formats here. If the manual doesn’t state that your robot must have the brain connected via a connecting pin, then you don’t need to have a connecting pin.
I would highly recommend using the “Quick Reference” section in the manual along with the command CTRL + F to find key words that may be relevant to your question. If it seems like maybe the rule isn’t quite clear, check out the Q&A to see if anyone has asked a similar question. You can also get a coach/mentor or parent to post a question for you on the Q&A.
To give you my two-cents, it sounds like it may be a bad idea to have your brain disconnected from the main robot. It could increase the chances of a port coming undone during a match or damaging the brain itself, depending on how you have it placed and mounted.

I don’t think the brain has to be connected to the robot because one of the other teams at my school(5020B) has the brain sitting in the center of the robot. They also have a solenoid just in the middle of the robot too. In my opinion, you should anchor everything to your bot, so your robot doesn’t look like a mess(like 5020B).
No you don’t have to have it anchored to the bot and to access our battery we need to remove a piece but I think it still legal cause we have been to 2 comps and we have passed inspection but being honest I think its best to keep the brain anchored to the bot
