Don't you hate it when

At that point, yeah, we may as well have helped them pull the pickle off

Don’t you hate it when you spend a buncha time on the notebook the day before the competition, and then forget to bring it?

Don’t you hate it when you select the wrong program during a match.

Don’t you hate it when you set the robot up wrong so the auton doesn’t work?

Yep, experienced it during autonomous skills. It’s very annoying.

Don’t you hate it when you relied on 7th graders to pick you in finals at states and they don’t do it. (After making a plan for over a month about it)

Don’t you hate it when people forget to specify which Texas region?

Don’t you hate it when the refs at state delay quals for half an hour over tech difficulties?
and also,
Don’t you hate it when your teammate recruits a person barely 4 foot 10 that has absolutely no experience with robotics?

I’ve been at a tournament when the final awards were delayed by over an hour because the judges couldn’t couldn’t finish their deliberations in a timely manner. But why would a “tech difficulty” have anything to do with the Judges??? Now if you actually mean “referees” delayed the tournament, I would say "Don’t you hate it when a forum member calls the referees ‘judges’."

Do you have a problem with short people? Does height, in your world, somehow equate to intelligence? And did you have experience with robotics when you started on your first team? To this I would say "Don’t you hate it when people diss their teammates on a public forum?"

  1. I fixed it now.
  2. I’m just saying that he’s short. I have nothing against him, because I’m only 1.5 inches taller than him, and yes, I had no experience when I started.

I fail to find the issue with your teammate here…

I believe that everyone, no matter their experience, deserves a chance to learn. If he has no experience, why not teach him?

I never said he wasn’t a good choice, and I never even meant to shame him or my teammate.

Putting them in the “don’t you hate it when” thread and only specifying short implies shame to the height. Just putting recruiting someone in the “don’t you hate it when” thread implies that the recruiter was wrong and the recruited are bad.

Don’t you hate it when someone height shames someone on a public forum?

Hey no making fun of my hight

I’m five foot three and 16. I’m sorry I took no offense to his post. My team mates are all 5 10 + and there’s two guys who are 6 5. If you guys are all short stop being so offended about something so dumb. He was jsut trying to be funny. Most of you guys can probably grow anyways since you weren’t cursed with short parents (yeah I can’t grow anymore ahahaha) and are probably in middle school. And if you guys aren’t short then stop white knighting because I doubt most short people care, if they hang around with the people I hang out with (7-14 inches taller than them) they won’t care about some guy on the forums making a joke.

When people around me have this argument, I tell them that they’re all short, and to get back to work. It really doesn’t matter, and we all know it.
edit: I’m somewhere around 6’4" tall :stuck_out_tongue:

But I am one with the shorty’s and am like 5,3

Don’t you hate it when you put the IQ battery in backwards and it gets stucks causing you to miss a match
