I am a beginner robotics team and I am looking to build an elevator lift using rails or tracks, whatever you call them. I don’t exactly know where to start, could somebody show me theirs or explain to me how it works as inspiration?

Each of these have their own flaws, linear slides are probably the best though.

This is because I basically make a box and attach trays within it. This allows it to be super structural.
