Failed experimental Scoring Mech

This post is to explain my team’s unique scoring mech design, now that we are no longer using. Im posting this because I have not seen anything similar to this on the internet.

The scoring mech our team came up with is most similar to a banshee claw:
The main difference is that this mech swings over, instead of out from under the lift. Additionally, it has a long tray like structure that allows Pins and cups to be oriented in any direction. Theoretically it would allow us to get faster cycle times, and more versatile solution to the order of pins and cups.

Cycle times:
The pins/cups are simply dunked at the right height, instead of having to swing out, up, over, and down like a banshee claw. This would greatly improve cycle times with good driving and automaton.

Tray style thing:
The two large plastic pieces act as rails to hold the pins/cups before being scored, our team thought this would be important, as it would allow us to score the pins and cups in upside-down, similar to some rotating claw designs. In contrast, the traditional banshee can only intake the pin first, then the cup

Why it failed:
The design worked 100%, but we were unable to make the pins and cones intake into it well, and it hade some geometry issues, when interacting with the rollers and ramp. Our team not wanting to pour time and resources into this, decided to move on.

The 1by1 L-channels act as a flap that hold the game-peices in place while in the air.

Let me know what you guys think about this unique design.
