Favorite IQ game

Gasp! @Noah10851B is a secret agent for DRow!

Also, in squared away, I was pretty involved in my vrc season, and I wasn’t on the forum yet, so I didn’t really see the meta bot then. But I was expecting something where it will pick up the cubes, and have a ball intake on the back, so it will put balls into/onto the cubes while it is carrying them. but I didn’t actually see any.

Well done @Noah10851B . I almost missed the exclamation point at the end.

Probably my favorites are Ringmaster and Squared Away. Ringmaster had so many ways to score which lead to there not being a single dominant design like in Next Level. There was a good spread of scores with enough low-hanging fruit (posts and tray) to give all teams a challenge. Squared Away was also really good because it required just the right amount of teamwork and a good combo of harder and easier elements. While there were less designs than Ringmaster, they had complexity and stood out from the average bot that could carry two blues or reds.
The games I have been less fond of are Crossover and Next Level, though to be fair I wasn’t very involved in Crossover. The bridge was a fun dynamic but the game itself wasn’t too exciting. As others have said, Next Level robots didn’t have a big gap between the good and the great. The overall design was achievable early and didn’t evolve much.
Overall, I’m on team small objects. There can be more ways to score and the range of skill levels is better represented.

Let’s just say that there were no mistakes in Noah’s initial post. Read carefully, and you’ll understand.

To keep this post on topic, I personally favour Squared Away. I don’t play IQ but it seems like that would be a very fun challenge to design a solution to.
