Feature Requests: Bluetooth, Multiple Files, and Motor Power Blocks in VEXcode IQ

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a few suggestions for VEXcode IQ that I think would make it more useful:

  • Bluetooth connection: It would be great if the app could connect directly to the SmartHub (Brain) over Bluetooth. The website already supports this, but internet can be unreliable sometimes, so a direct connection would be more stable.
  • Multiple files: Right now, the app only allows one file to be open at a time. Having multiple files open would make switching between programs much easier.
  • Motor power blocks: It would really help to have blocks that let us control the power to the drivetrain motors. At the moment, the robot tends to turn or behave unpredictably, which isn’t very helpful for testing.

Thanks a lot for all the work that goes into VEXcode — these changes would make a big difference for teams.
