does anyone have any recommendations on the best type of elevator lift that will dump out blocks?
like is using chains or linear motion pack better, or if there are other convenient ways I’d like to hear other people’s experiences
I’ve seen many different types that work well. It doesn’t seem to matter as much, just whatever type you pick you will need to do a ton of tuning and adjusting.
Good luck!!!
Our Team uses a 2 tower elevator. It is made with chain and sprockets. A good tip would be to use 2 towers rather than 4 if you are trying to only use 2 motors
Our team has tested numerous to find the best. (Chain, Choo-Choo, Linear slides, etc). Of all of them, We found linear slides to be most stable.
Our team has used the linear slides and the chain, and we have not seen a significant difference between them. The only recommendation I have is to not use bevels, but instead mount the motors sideways to increase efficiency.
We as a team personally use a chain lift since there is multiple spots to place a basket for example.
yeah but your lift is really flimsy. I put linear slides on mine tho so its physically impossible to be unstable unless something breaks.
Our tower changed from the last time you have seen it. It is stronger and can carry more cubes. I can see if i have any pictures for the lift.
Excellent! Could you email them to me and I could email you. email in my channel bio.
wait you think my gravity bot is bad? I mean that one was but like bruh
Linear slides work best. We have a two tier elevator that collects and sorts a ton of blocks. Purples up top, greens below. Not an uncommon design, sure. But it works.
