FUN will be back for the High Stakes season to film more content and feature more teams! Thanks for REC Foundation for their continued partnership to help make this happen.
While we do not have all dates finalized yet, I can confidently say that we will be at the MOA signature event in just a couple weeks to feature some early High Stakes season designs.
While we’ll be on the lookout for teams, if you have any suggestions for teams attending MOA feel free to let us know and anything you can tell us about the mentioned team that will help them stand out.
Once we get a more finalized schedule I’ll confirm it. As it currently sits, we are planning on attending close to double the amount of events from Over Under. Most will be V5RC HS specific but we are also planning on attending some events that have V5RC MS and VEX U competitions also.
2145Z might be a cool team to check out at MOA! They’ve been posting regular updates to the VEX CAD discord, and their driver has been doing well in the past with 343X.
5203G Gremlin and 229V Ace Robotics are always cool to check out too :)
Good question, the answer is that there is no definite timing for when a team is selected. Events are very fluid so we also have to be. Robots break down, teams are doing skills, match schedules don’t align etc… But we do want to do as much research as possible (if possible) to come in with a game plan and then we adjust from there at the event. You’ll see us scouting teams/matches too from time to time.
If you are going to the Minnesota Sig (MOA) keep an eye out for the FUN Crew filming and interviewing for FUN RECF! We are planning on filming about a dozen content pieces there of Pits & Parts, Points & Plates Mic’d, event recap and some content for TikTok/Reels/Shorts. Please come and say hi! We would be delighted to meet you and we have FUN stickers to give away too!
With the plan being that FUN will be at about double the amount of events this season versus others, it is possible that we may film a couple rebuild interviews at later sig events.
Our long name has changed to FUN Robotics Network so you’ll find our YouTube channel now at https://youtube.com/@funroboticsnetwork (the old URL still works and we’re in progress of switching urls/names/descriptions)
An amazing start to the High Stakes Signature Event season! Keep an eye out for these Pits & Parts interviews starting next week (+more to come) at YouTube.com/@funroboticsnetwork
If you have time, you should interview 1000A. They have a unique intake style that should be highlighted. They also have a good chance of winning it all.
Here’s my bet:
Tournament Champs: 1010W and 1000A beat 360X and 229V
https://youtu.be/PNBmAbRdbVo | The first Signature Event of High Stakes is complete as we check in with the winners 100A Jugglenauts and 1101B Barcbots Getting There. Hear these teams break down their journey to the finals and strategy implemented to take the win!
Keep an eye out for Pits & Parts interviews and an event highlights video from the Minnesota Signature event starting this week!
https://youtu.be/DbVMsuxRuag | 11101B Barcbots is definitely ‘Getting There’ with a double crown at the MN Signature Event. Over Under VEX Worlds finalists and Spin Up VEX Worlds winners seem to continue their dominance with an awesome 4+ ring auto along with a rush auton feature. Check out their lift up odometry pods and also a simple and effective climber and they kickoff High Stakes on Pits & Parts.
