Getting started on coding?

Hey all,

I am now in the offseason of vex robotics, just wondering what I can do to prepare for next year’s game, specifically with coding. This is my first time ever coding (I know nothing about it) and my second year competing, (somehow) making it to nationals and coming top 10.

Where do I start learning how to code and how? Also, would it be a good idea to put this ‘offseason training’ in notebook?

Thanks all

This playlist is pretty good.

If you can’t get access to the robot you can practise in Vex VR or Scratch as Vexcode is just a modified version of Scartch.

Hope this helps.

Ok this isn’t any coding help but I do know how you can prepare for the next season. What you could do is subscribe to Vex Robotics on Youtube so that you know exactly when the next game is revealed, so that you can come up with a build idea as soon as possible and maybe start building it. Actually whenever you are coding, don’t make your code complex or over engineered. I learned that the hard way. I hope that these can help.
