Getting to nationals through skills?

Hi, we are trying to do calculations. Does anyone know approximately how many people get to ms nationals through skills?

in the UK, the top 30 or 32 (im not sure) get to nationals. with skills, some teams may have already qualified, so i would say top 20 gives you a good chance of qualifying

Do you mean just middle school or both high school and middle school? (we are in middle school)

what about HS? in the UK as we are 29th skills ranked but can get a bit higher with our auton and considering all top 10 teams in skills are qualified already

im not too sure, you would probably want to get higher to be sure of a place. also, ur driver is 15rn, so u probably should focus on increasing that - maybe aim for around 35, which would give you a much better shot at qualifying

I was out of date we are 35th ranked with 23 driver and 0 auton so we will have the basic clear park zone + park auton and hopefully how much do you think in skills, I’m trying to do a matchload without pnuematics so we can clear all loaders! but otherwise do you recommend a route/any tips for us as we have our last comp on Saturday, we are 10743B Vulcan

Well, you definitely should aim for top 20 at least. I would say for driver a maybe clear 2 loaders, score the blocks in the long goals and get the control bonus then clear the park zone and score either top or bottom middle goal at least 7 blocks same colour then park would get you a pretty good driver (for uk at least)

There are so many variables to consider. How many spots are there at your ERC (Event Regional Championship)? How many of those will be filled by qualifying award (e.g. Excellence, Tournament Champions, etc.) winners at local tournaments? How many spots at the ERC are left at that point? By doing estimates on what teams I think will qualify at what events, and then going to the Global Skills List on RobotEvents and looking through the current standings (which will change of course) for our region I can come up with an estimate. In my region I think about a dozen middle school teams (VIQRC) and sixteen high school (V5RC) teams will get in to the ERC based on their skill scores. If you have a good grasp of the teams in your region it can be a pretty accurate method but it’s always just an estimate until all of the tournaments are done.
