If you are new, I recommend making the Hero bot and modifying it based on what your team thinks is good
Your question is a but vague, and your subject line suggests you are interested in Flop. Have the kids build it, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, then have them brainstorm improvements and go from there. If they have IQ experience they should be able to bypass Flop altogether.
