Are Locking Screws Worth It?

My robotics team is just starting its 2nd years of existence. We have purchased very few things to add to our startup kit. This of course means that we will need to buy new building supplies, such as screws. I know there are 2 different types of 8-32 hex drive screws; locking and normal. I of course assume that the locking screws have more strength. The question is, is it worth the $14 extra dollars to get locking screws? Do some teams go completely with locking screws?

Funny thing is that I bet that FB group gets more members now that it is advertised as it is on the forum (maybe that is his secret agenda).

And I am a member of both.
