High Stakes intake

My team is trying to conserve our motors as much as possible (Since we only have the 11 watt ones), And our drivetrain should have at least 4 motors. Our initial idea was to have the intake and conveyor belt taking rings to the mobile goal combined, connected by a chain, to conserve motors. is this a viable option?

Yes, many teams do that this year. A 4 motor drive could work for you, but if you are only using 1 for an intake and 1 for something else you could do 6 motors and have more pushing power. I would recommend double chaining anything on your robot so nothing breaks too.

On my team we did a 6 motor drive train green which we had to build a custom code for (really not that hard) than on our conveyor belt we used tread so we can attach our hooks and also bring it up than we added gears on the inside base of the robot reversing the current of the gear than putting a gear on out intake connecting them using chain and now your powering that whole thing using only 1 motor (hope this helps and than we used a 5.5v for a lil arm

Using only 11w motors is totally viable. I would run 66w drive, 11w conveyor and intake (chain the shafts together), and a 11w wall stake mech. This is very common and very competitive. You also can do 66w drive, 11w intake, 11w conveyor, and piston wall stakes.

My team used 66w drive, 11w indexer/conveyor, 5.5w intake, and 5.5w lady brown/wallstake mech
