How is Integrity Ensured in the Encore Challenge?

With the new addition of the Encore Challenge, more teams have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship. However, the requirement to have a team member who previously qualified for the 2020 World Championship worries me. Not because it’s a daunting requirement, but because I would think it would be logistically challenging for judges to determine whether or not team members are being truthful about their previous affiliation.

So, how does the REC Foundation ensure that these members are being honest about their activities last season? And, furthermore, how do we, as team members, need to prove ourselves as previously being associated with a team that qualified for the 2020 World Championship?

I would like to think that this would be on the / covered by the honor system. Your mentor says “Yes, Bobby Tables was a 2020 winner”.

And they’d be right - Bobby Tables did qualify for Worlds 2020:

Jokes aside, I agree that the honor system/code of conduct should be good enough to ensure that the people entering the Encore challenges do actually qualify.

Where is the encore challenge listed? I haven’t seen it, but I have been looking for it.
