So me and my team want to start building our match lifter. Since we are amateurs I wanted to know how y’all make these match loaders? What parts? Where do we order it? What glass thickness? (A link would be helpful).

The matchloaders are usually made of plexiglass and use pneumatics to bring it up and down.
You can find many videos about creating matchloaders online, plenty to inspire off of

You want to make it so the polycarb enters at a slight angle right above the lip of the matchloader. When you drive forward more, it should angle from following the. matchload, and tilt the blocks into your intake.
Here is a video with a discription and a demonstration at around the 1 min mark. Once you get it kinda working, you need to tune it a lot to make it fast.
Actually, plexiglass is illeagal. Use polycarbonate or HDPE instead.
Please remember that plexiglass is a shattering plastic and is NOT legal for use on robots. Types of plastic that are legal include polycarbonate (or lexan) and delrin, along with others (find all legal types in game manual, rule R25). It’s bad practice to call plastic on robots plexiglass because it can confuse newer people to V5RC and possible cause them to use illegal materials on their robots.

Yes, there is a maximum thickness for plastic in the game manual. Specifically check rule R25.
