This would also prevent all the rings from getting shoved under the platform. Really cool concept Idea, it would also prevent the hinge from being rammed as well.
I would really love to see that. It would also be way easier to ref. But one question, would you still be able to stack from the side?
That would just have become one of the challenges to design for.
Custom motor housings. You could create housings with mounts on the top bottom etc. Maybe even a metal heat sink orā¦water cooling?
There are other changes Iād like made but they have been stated. Like less limitations and 3D printing but thats just VexU.
keep vrc stuff and sensors in stock along with pneumatics!
Thatās a great observation. I donāt think it would need to be that long. Iām think if enough engineering minds looked at the problem they could come up with a few solutions.
Make the entire system more sustainable - millions of pounds worth of field elements are made redundant every year - almost all are made of plastic.
I understand that reusing game objects gives new teams a disadvantage, but maybe vex could take more responsibility to recycle them.
I would make 3D-printed parts legal in VRC, that would be an interesting change of pace and Iād like to see how it would change and improve the design of robots
a better alliance selection system, faster shippingā¦
Whatās wrong with the current one?
And cheaper
Easy one. Fix the static problem (or allow teams to use more static prevention techniques, such as having a copper wire touch the robot to ground it.)
Where judges can look at replays, and cheaper pneumatics.
Edit: Refs not judges
Allow judges to review video
Not sure why judges would want to see video replays, plus they are already allowed to. Refs however, I understand why you want them to watch replays.
Or just⦠do VRC
Sorry I meant to say refs
