Importance of explaining contest rules

One of my teams asked me how much detail should be included in their engineering journal, regarding the description the game? I have always told my teams they need to plan on describing everything in much detail because the judges will not know of the game. I have also told them to create a journal so someone else can replicate their robot. Thank you for the advice.

Describing the game is a great way to get your identify the problem point, but you will need to include more information than just describing the game; you should include design challenges and an in depth game analysis! It’s really up to the competitors how much information they want to include, as long as they think they will satisfy the rubric criteria.

Yea that would make a good notebook just making sure you have as much detail needed about your robot
