Geez you’re all making me envious now. I wish I had VEX IQ parts so I can join this contest too

Connor won, im calling it
It’s currently 3:52 in Texas. Dial VEX, put your order in with Chance (he’s used to people in a panic ordering stuff cough Foster cough) , overnight ship your parts, build and submit and you are in!!!
Contest ends at midnight when the two heroes leave the moon!
((Actually, since I’ve heard of your build skills, show us a VEX VRC lander, stick a vexIQ license plate on it and I’ll let you compete, since it would have a VIQ part on it. ))
Is Photoshop allowed? ![]()
Nope, all original pictures, we can tell Photoshop.
Serious the idea is you build and other space roboteers will build it. You build, they iterate, we all win.
No Photoshop allowed.
Here is the video.

Sorry this is a late, but we have winners!
In the roboteer category the winner is Milo ( @Claymarks) for their moving parts pretty close design. The reveal video was really great! $50 in parts and bragging rights!
Second place goes to @kmaster for the close design and use of colors to highlight the gold parts of the lander. $35 in parts
In the adult category, the judges were conflicted, but felt that @nnolte really nailed the lander, it looked pretty close to what landed 50 years ago. The attention to detail that the upper part of the LEM was detachable and “flyable” was a nice touch. $35 in parts
Thanks to everyone that competed! Thanks for making the 50 year anniversary special.
I’ll contact the award winners on how to collect their prizes.
Hey Foster!
Milo says “Thanks, it was really fun to build something other than a robot for a change” . We watched some NASA movies and the original landing, so that was fun too. I’ll pm you when he decides on the parts.
Thanks again!
Now that the contest is officially over, here’s the Lunar Lander model that I built several months ago. The model is built entirely from 2019-2020 VIQC legal elements, at the VEX Explorers astronaut scale (human = 4x pitch height).
The ascent stage is held on by a single pin, to make it easy to simulate blastoff from the lunar surface. I have yet to find a way to build the ladder or a flagpole that looks good at this scale, so I omitted them from model, as designing and 3D printing new VEX IQ elements would be cheating. ![]()
I also would have loved to have proper round satellite dishes, but we only have the oblong one at the moment. Anyway, without further adieu:
Darn it, I missed this thread the first time around and I was all ready to win a $50 parts order. But then I noticed the date and realized someone bumped it. Silly Foster, getting my hopes up like that.
YOO!
Are those the original astronauts, or a later version, because I NEED some of them.
They appear to be the same astronauts from before. For what it’s worth, the mobile lab kit comes with 2 figures.
