Linear Puncher Vex iq

How do I create a linear puncher this season for vex iq I am literally crashing out because there is ZERO INFORMATION ON THE DARN INTERNET plz help

Here’s a step-by-step instruction on how to build a “linear puncher”:

  1. Do research on the concept
  2. Get the general materials you need out from the kit
  3. Build your first mechanism
  4. Test and see what went wrong
  5. Fix the errors, try again, and repeat!

Once you succeed, be happy that you did so without much help or having to risk being G4’d (I guess G2’d now, but it doesn’t roll off the tongue as well, though :D)

Good luck!

Zero?

I saw that but sig purdue has a very small explanation for the turning part explanation it is v5 and it is not very clear.

can you send me like maybe a few picture. Please… .-.

If you know what a “linear puncher” is, you probably have something in mind. If you just heard someone say it, maybe it’s worth a bit more research. But if you have an image in your head, sketch it/cad it, and build a prototype. Use the Engineering Design Process to design and re-iterate on it until you have a satisfactory mechanism.

Look I’m not a part of any team this year, but I will say mechanisms from VEX V5 will be your best bet for inspiration.

They have a lot of similar parts and materials, but they’re different enough for you to be able to properly go through the engineering design process. If you have trouble building the mech, using V5 examples as a parallel will absolutely be your best bet while staying on the right side of the line for Student-Centered Policy / G2

You should just try to find the matching parts for IQ.
