If you are going to make a Tesla coil just make an EMP (ElectroMagnetic Pulse) that will knock out everything and keep everyone safe from getting a nasty shock.

External wires on VEX electrical components may be repaired by soldering, using twist/crimp connectors, electrical tape or shrink tubing such that the original functionality / length is not modified in any way. This is electrical components I has not yet been decided if VEX considers the screen protector as an electrical component.
According to the VEX website, the Brainâs part number is 276-4810. The screen protector on the other hand is numbered 276-4810-030. While a very similar number, these parts are listed separately as part of a âkitâ when you look at the Brainâs page on vexrobotics.com.
Kit implies that it is a bundle of more than one individual piece. By this logic, the screen cover is a separate part from the Brain, and therefore is not an electronic component, and should be allowed to be tampered with.
@BlueLightNo1 I think there are other ways to hold the flip bar out, a rubber band should be able to hold it well enough but there are also ratcheting lock mechanisms that you could try

And, until GDC officially defines in the game manual the distance between molecules in solids, when they no longer count as solids, I claim this to be perfectly legal!
Because the wall is connected to the robot by the same electromagnetic force as the V5 brain cover is connected to the brain. Logic!

Even if it was legal, the magnet would be so weak that you would have a better chance at putting on some tape, taking it off, and âaccidentallyâ having a bit of left over adhesive on your metal. There are many parts in vex and I canât see any use a weak magnet would help in competition.
