Need Mecanum Wheel Programming Help

Hello everyone, I am an administrator for a VRC team, and my students have been struggling with Tele-op block code. We recently obtained a few mecanum wheels, but they do not know how to program all directions with just blocks. A few things to note are that they already have the wheel directions forming an “x” and the chassis is a rectangle. This type of programming is out of my expertise, but works well with the students, so any help or examples are appreciated.

Here is what i did for driver control a while ago. i dont remeber exactly what the joystics were controlling but i remeber that it worked pretty well.

There are plenty of other threads on the forum about coding mecanum drives. Also, x drives work the exact same way so anything explaining that will work as well.
