Hello everyone! I am the programmer for team 99750A from ROCORI High School in Cold Spring, MN. I am very excited to announce that with the help of my teammates, and team 99750B I have created an app to score both matches and skills rounds for this years competition Change Up. My app allows for people to be able to save what teams participated in rounds and then go back and look at what balls were scored where at the end of the match. This has been a project that I have been working on for a while now, and it is finally ready for distribution. It is only available for apple devices, I might try to make it compatible with other devices with enough requests. Below is a link download the app. I also created a tutorial video that can be found in the app, or on YouTube. My video making skills are not the greatest, but it at least shows you how to use the app. It would mean a lot to me if you thought about downloading this app, and if you do I hope you find it helpful for your 2020-2021 VRC season. Feel free to ask questions or point out bugs that you find.
Thanks a lot! there were some things I didn’t like about the VRC Hub app and I was trying to find things to do over the shut down. So it was more or less my goal to make it more intuitive.
This looks pretty good. I will give it a try. I’m interested to see if using this app is faster than the vrc hub because in vrc hub’s current state it is faster mentally to calculate the score. I do like the added skills functionality. Edit: FYI it is .99 USD but I might still try it.
I spent the $0.99 to buy the app and I can say that I am not disappointed. It’s much faster than VRC Hub and with the new update, it can reset to a starting competition or skills field configuration. This has saved me time scoring some practice matches and I can better plan a skills route with the goals being clearly visualized to me.
I have considered this, however I choose to go with the add free $1 app. I have never liked having ads on apps as I feel they are annoying and sometimes inappropriate for some audiences. I felt like $1 was not too much to ask for.
Also, I am going to make the app free for the rest of today and tomorrow.
It would mean a lot to me if you would download the app and let me know what you think, either in this thread or by leaving a review.
I got the app and explored it. It’s very well put together and looks very good! Unfortunately my team isn’t going to be able to compete this year, so I won’t be able to actually use it. Good job though!
looks good with good reviews i’m going to try it out and share it with my team 24737A from Delray Beach, Florida if it’s good i’ll share it with other schools
I downloaded it earlier and I have to say, I’m impressed! The skills scoring was my favorite part since it is so annoying to score. Thank you so much for making this wonderful app.
i downloaded this (cant remember if i payed or not tbh) and i’ve used it as my main scoring app since then. The skills feature is super useful, makes calculating it take way less time. Nicely done
Any way it’s going to make its way on to android? Ive made my own scorer as an apk since i’m on android, but i’d much rather use yours then my version.
