New Notebook Template!

introducing… A new Engineering Notebook Template!

Last competition season, I used VEX’s notebook template with some success. However, I saw many things that I wish were better. So, I decided to design a new notebook template that is similar to VEX’s but more streamlined for competitive teams. I would appreciate feedback!

The pictures look great, but when I tried to open your template, I got the message that your organization does not allow me to access the file

Sorry about that. I’ll get it fixed by Sunday. Too busy watching 229V win worlds.

Doesn’t 229V hold the current skills world record?

I 323V does (443 points). 229V has 427 points

This link did not work either

For Google Docs, can you make a shared link (using the share button) so that it is accessible to everyone? Right now, you seem only to be sharing the document URL, which restricts access to accounts with existing access.

It is possible that your school does not permit students to share files outside of the organization. Our district does not let students use Google Sites or contribute to them, which makes it hard for them to develop communication skills.

Alright. I’ll just post the original here and you guys can just make copies. Thanks for stayin with me in this endeavor.

How many pages should be in the template? I’m only seeing the cover and the instruction page. Should there be more?

@Jen thanks for your interest. You need to add more slides yourself.

If you are on PC or Chromebook, hit the + at the top left corner, then when the new slide pops up, go to layout, and pick the layout you want to use. Also, when you’ve got the hang of it, you should delete the instruction page.

I hope this helps!

I’ve been getting requests for edit access. Just a reminder that the notebook template is available by this link:

Thank you!

that didnt go as planned lol

Let it be a lesson that just because a team has a reputable name doesn’t mean they will always win.

I’m not complaining about the winners, they were phenomenal.
