These are points that have been argued over since the previous release, and so should be recognized as points of potential ambiguity, or substantial changes in required behaviours.”

I feel like for someone new to vex, the change log is rather unimportant as they wouldn’t now what the game manual was before the update.

Ideal Team Size for VRC

So I am in charge of creating teams for my school’s robotics team this year and I am keep falling into the same question of the ideal team size. I’ve been on teams of 4, 6, and 12 (yes 12 people) and I have no idea as to what is the ideal team size is. I am leaning more toward 4 people, but that means that the club can’t futureproof itself (due to smaller team sizes) and less people overall get to participate. What do you guys think? poll

I have been on team of people ranging in size from 1-5 though, but things can be different for everyone.

You haven’t mentioned CAD.

I didn’t mention cad, because CAD is a long an complicated process. I would not recommend team build there first every robot in cad if they haven’t:t built a real robot yet.

You’ve recommended looking at complex robots with lots of shaped metal and plastic before simply building the hero bot. Is that what you meant to do?

I feel it is important for teams to look at robots more complex than a hero bot as I don’t think a team should just build the hero bot. I think the best thing to do would be to build a modified hero bot, and it would help to have some ideas from more complex robots when modifying.

You’ve implied that you need to get auton going before you start driving.

The reason I did this was, because you can finish the auton and spend the rest of your time on driving, but you can’t finish driving wand spend the rest of the time on auton.

don’t recommend that schoolkids skip lunch. Someone might take you literally, and that someone might for example be diabetic. Eat and take a break.

I recommend eating lunch in between qualification matches, not skipping it. If you anyone has a medical need, they should now what they can and can’t do and act accordingly.

I know it isn’t a perfect guide and many of it is based on my personal experiences.
