So I’m now on a high school team, but I still mentor my old middle school teams. I was wondering if it was legal for me to make my own notebook template for them. Kind of like how Vex has their template, but modifying it to make it more visually appealing. Also, I was planning to add corner indicators. I attached an image of what I’d be making. Basically just blank pages.

Yeah that’s the plan. I’m trying to teach them how to properly notebook this year because some of them did it on Google Docs last year…
So I’m just including the things that can help judges understand the notebook better, like corner indicators, a better working TOC, section dividers, etc. All of the content is gonna be there’s though.
To be fair there’s nothing wrong with using docs or words, personally I find it much easier than using slides. And the results are more than equal to what I could make with slides.
All I know is, if someone told me I had to use Slides, the notebooking process would become much harder for me and my end product would be not as good. This is sort of off topic, but I think it’s important to note.

Good plan! I had to learn the hard way over 3 years on how to notebook properly, and I only learned with hours of looking through hs notebooks. I would explain to them what the template does though. Like why use develop a solution over some other template page, stuff like that.
Same! I use team meeting slides that are just a regular PowerPoint!
