I have the Vex IQ Planetary Gear & XL Turntable Pack P/N 228-5371. Are there instructions on how to assemble this?

If so, there are no assembly instructions. It can be used to add on to your robot.
Yes that is the kit. I was assuming that Vex didn’t have assembly instructions as I could not find them anywhere. If anyone knows of any 3rd party instructions elsewhere on the internet, that would be much appreciated. At the very least, a picture of the parts assembled would be helpful.
There are no instructions. It’s for you (and your team) to use your brain power, and creative and innovative thinking to build something unique. 
I am sure that was not the intent of this set of parts. While it is true that we could use our creativity and use them any way we want, it is clear that they were designed for a specific purpose. This is like getting a Lego set with no instructions. Of course one could build something with the parts, but it would be nice to at least know what the designers intended.
Look through the Hexbug Snap Shot instructions to get one idea of how to use them.
Play around with a planetary gear simulator to better the various ratios possible with planetary gears. For the Vex/Hexbug version, you should have noticed you have a bunch of 12t gears that were in the pack
