We currently have pneumatics on our robot and have noticed that when starting our drive code our flywheel moves slowly and after turning the pneumatics off and on a few times the flywheel will turn at its normal speed. We do not use the pneumatics system during our autonomous code and our flywheel will turn at its normal speed without delay. Because of this we figured out the pneumatics is taking a lot of power when turning on. Is there something we can do to prevent this delay from happening?
Could I see your code mabye it’s an issue with that? (this does’t happen for us and we have many pistons so its a bit strange)
Turn the pneumatic pump off at the beginning of the “when started” block before calling calibrate. Depending on the location of the pump, vibration can cause calibration of the inertial sensor to take much longer. See if that helps.
Thank you we will try that! I’ll let you know if it works
Jpearman it worked! Thank you so much for your help
