I’m having some trouble installing the tubing onto the VEX IQ pneumatic pump. The barbed connector seems a bit flexible, and the tubing doesn’t stay securely attached. It slides off after some movement or use, which makes it difficult to maintain consistent air pressure. I’ve tried pushing the tubing in firmly, but it still comes loose after a while. Does anyone have any pro tips for getting a tighter, more reliable connection between the tubing and the pump?
The pump’s connector is flexible. The best way that I’ve figured out is just pushing the tube in all of the way, and having it straight after is comes out of the pump.
Make sure the tubing doesn’t get compressed or stretched too much when the mechanisms move, and also make sure the tubing is not bent to a weird position. I had this happen to me and I just relocated the pump so the tubing would be better placed.
