Question about elevation

Just wondering, can you elevate using the horizontal part of the pole?

Thanks for reading

Hello! I would recommend that you please read the game manual: VRC Over Under Game Manual - VEX Robotics . If you find something that gives you an answer, then there you have it. If not explicitly stated, then 99 percent of the time it is usually legal. I will not give you a direct answer because I encourage the reading of the game manual to participants and coaches alike for a better understanding of the rules.

I would recommend looking at other teams and RTM.

Yes you can, stop being rude to them @andromedagalactic4

Your answer is worse than useless. How do I know you’re right? Do I just take your word for it? At least if you’re going to just tell the OP an answer, back it up with the reference to the game manual, and then there will at least be some use to your answer with regards to the learning. Perhaps the OP has never been directed by their coach to even know that a game manual exists, which is why, when I answer RTM questions, I always provide a link to the game manual and usually a location where to look. These are things that are helpful to new students learning the Vex program.

Yes, you can. Make sure you read the game manual.

Bro. These 2 posts are written with your exact demographic in mind and they are both in this thread.

@sweetspotmaster I fail to understand why you found my post to be rude. My goal is to encourage everyone in the VEX community to read the game manual and to know the rules. Think of it this way: a student asks for help on a question that you have an answer to. If you just provide that student with an answer, are they really learning, or would they be learning more if you show them how problems can be solved as such? Think of that similar to this situation. OP was asking for the legality of something. If I just provide an answer without a reference, then are they learning much compared to if we were to link the game manual? As @kmmohn said, how reliable would it be without a credible source, which in this case, would be the game manual? I by no means find any of this to be rude. I, along with many others, want teams to know the rules and to work with them. Our goal is to have teams informed about the season, so next time, if providing an answer, kindly link a credible source with it so that others can reference and benefit from it. Thank you.
