They should make a thing, that when someone have been on Vex forum for one year they will get regular
Probably never if you keep posting the way you do. Regulars have to be helpful and not spammy.

ye congratulations, imagine having 2.3k likes but only got regular now tho. The system is definitely pretty weird. My friend got regular and havenât posted in a year iirc.

The status really doesnât indicate anything tbh, there are regulars who donât post most of the time, and there are also members that are very helpful. Getting the status probably isnât the point of this forum so iâll give some advice on the doâs and donâts on this forum instead

I basically followed this set of rules onto posting on the forum. I generally donât post much but if I do, Iâll try to make sure its helpful to people. After some time the regular status was granted to me.

ummmm, no. That is what the Anniversary badge is for. Regulars are usually helpful and meaningfully contribute to the forum topics. If people on here that have created an account a year ago were regulars that beats the whole purpose. Being a regular isnât something to try to get like a trophy. It just happens when you are on here for a while and arenât very disruptive.

There isnât anything particularly special about regular status tbh.
As others have said in this thread, becoming regular is not something that you should work for. If you just post and leave helpful replies, the badge will come along with it. Just posting random stuff to get to regular isnât how it works. I havenât posted in about a year and I got regular like 2 months ago just from reading threads that I was interested in and liking posts that I liked. Iâve since lost it, but that was from me not reading anything and not being as active.

If you deserve the badge, it will come, so donât just post random things hoping you will get regular.

But posting something helpful enough gets you something even less achieved
This one is also a pretty hard to achieve badge, which can only be achieved through actually helping people
And if you make a resource so useful that gets you this, then Iâll respect you 10x more than if you were a regular

Yeah, I mean, Iâve had this acc for 6 months now, and I just got Regular about 3 weeks ago, but I know people whoâve been on since NBN, and donât have it. Itâs not about how much you post, itâs about how helpful those posts are. I mean, my second most clicked link is to a youtube music playlist, from What Music Do You Build Robots To?, and thatâs not even my robotics playlist. My point is, itâs not about quantity, itâs about quality.
Here is the plot but for vex:
A kid new to robotics trying to make a robot but needs some parts.
Gets some parts from a local team and one of the schoolâs students helps him.
The accidentally broke part of the best teamâs robot there.
The guy from before used to be on that team but his friend changed to his team and then kicked him off.
Then the guy from before likes breaking their robot and goes ballistic and doesnât even care about loosening the keps nuts and just grabs a hammer.
The best team plans on having practice in 15 minutes and is on their way to the school.
The guy from before jumps into the new kids car and say get me out of here.
Now the guy from before was caught and suspended and had to join a new school.
