To elaborate on what bkahl linked:
The only legal robot with “prints” or plans/directions is the training build design provided by vex (the season’s “herobot”). Building a competition robot from any other plans (or anyone providing plans to you) would be a violation of rule G2 in the game manual.
Typically for a brand new team, I’d recommend building the current “trainer” to learn how the VEX system works and get a good idea how to build. After you’ve had some time to practice with it, perhaps made some modifications for improvement, and even competed at an early-season competition with the trainer, you can take inspiration (but not plans) from other robot designs you’ve seen and set out to design and build your own competition robot.
Your mentor/advisor can help you find information in the VEX knowledge base about the engineering design process and start you down the path of design beyond robots which are pre-designed.
