The lady brown mechanism picks the ring correctly from the ramp, but when it is close to the wall stake and is almost vertical, the ring slips and falls out - what is the best way to “hold” the ring in place? I was trying a mesh, but it didn’t hold it- maybe I am not using the mesh correctly? Any pictures of working
hold ring" ideas?
Can we see a picture of your mechanism, along with a picture of a ring inside it and maybe a video of it falling out?
Judging from what you have said so far however, you should put your c-channels closer together, or wrap more anti-slip mats around the channels (either way makes a tighter fit for the ring, making it slip out less).
probably not tight enough. add more anti slip or rubber bands to get it tighter. We prefer rubber bands instead of anti slip but that’s more of a personal preference thing.
I have added a diagram of what I have - I added mesh on the side and also increased the surface area from a screw to a small plate, but the ring still slips. What do you recommend the distance between the 2 side C channels? Does it have to be 7 inches or slightly less or more than that?
The other issue I am facing is that the J hook remains entangled with the ring and I have difficulty removing the ring off the ramp. Should the ring move past the top of the ramp so that the J hook disengages?
Guys - thanks for your suggestions - I tried increasing the surface area and added mesh on the contact surface. Now it is working.
