I wish I could like this more than once. “If it fits it fits.” No need to complicate things. Put away the calipers and either allow or disallow 8x32 shoulder screws (or metric equivalents.)

I’m sorry but the game manual updates shouldn’t be a place for a rough draft. If this update was what was proposed internally that would be fine. Then members of the gdc could have taken a pass at cleaning it up, also questioning the need… Additionally making this decision without any grace period …
