Would u rather pick speed or durability

For IQ, definitely speed due to the amount of driver outplay it can create winning you a lot of matches. However, for V5, I would probably try to make an above-average durability bot due to more time and collisions during alliance play. Speed/Durability factors can change based on how defensive/offensive you want your bot to be. I do think if you are forced to compromise one for the other, you should look into a design tweak, as maximizing one at the expense of the other gives you just as significant a disadvantage as an advantage (Also, speed-maxxing bots can sometimes be notorious for being easy to tip and pin, etc)

  1. why is this in programming support?
  2. can’t you have both?

I accidentally made myself the guy for this, so

  • speed
  • durability

…

While this advice is overall true, it is often not difficult to make a bot that meets excellent durability and speed standards without having to sacrifice from either category in a meaningful way.

I agree with @Entropy on this call. With good build quality, speed won’t come at a significant cost to durability. Really, the decision to make is speed vs. torque, for which there are many excellent topics on this forum including this one.

What do you mean “winning you a lot of matches”? Doesn’t IQ not have 2 alliances? Additionally, everyone is correct. If you build your drivetrain properly, you should have no issues with durability.

Its only one alliance and they play for highest score

Thank you so much. I really appreciate this. I bet your robot is very good
