Join us this evening , December 7, at 7pm CST US on the REC Foundation YouTube channel for a informative and fun-filled season update.

Dan Mantz will discuss changes at VEX Worlds for 2024, new judging criteria, online challenges, and more. Grant Cox will be on hand to answer questions submitted by your teams about this season’s games. You won’t want to miss it!

Some notes:

  • Worlds 2025 is still in Dallas (as previously announced).
  • Worlds 2025 will take place later than normal due to venue/scheduling constraints, on May 6th- May14th
    • Unfortunately, this is basically right smack in the middle of AP and IB testing.
  • Some online challenges have been removed because of low participation
    • Unfortunately, this includes the CAD challenge.
  • The October 13th game manual update was mentioned but the December 5th update was not.
  • GPS strips may be required once they believe that not many EPs are still using metal field perimeters.
  • 3D printed parts are not allowed because they would increase the gap between top-tier teams and average teams too much.

Nice to have this look into what is going on with RECF, schedules, rules, etc. It would be even better if there were chapters in the video to let us digest the content more efficiently.

It also would have been better had it not been recorded before Speedway and the latest rules updates. Appreciate the effort, but it also seemed a little bit stale.
