I agree with this. They can’t force you into the penalty of touching the platform - thus resulting in an elevated robot for the other side, however, you not taking the opportunity to drive away and touching the platform at the end of the match would be a DQ.
This isn’t gameplay affecting? Since the robot is touching the platform at the end of he match, none of the goals on the platform

If the call was that they should have moved away from the platform in the last five seconds (likely), this was indeed the right call. This is not a match affecting scenario as they prevented the platform from becoming balanced".
