Why didn’t you move your robot away from the platform after they stopped pushing you? the refs could have interpreted you not moving away as intentionally continuing to contact the platform.

Even if they did think your failure to move away was a violation, this did not interfere with their ability to balance the platform, so it should have been only a 30 point penalty at most.

I agree with this. They can’t force you into the penalty of touching the platform - thus resulting in an elevated robot for the other side, however, you not taking the opportunity to drive away and touching the platform at the end of the match would be a DQ.

If the call was that they should have moved away from the platform in the last five seconds (likely), this was indeed the right call. This is not a match affecting scenario as they prevented the platform from becoming balanced".
