Is there an online (web-based) or chrome version of snapCAD available for students to use with Chromebooks?

Unfortunately, there is no online version that I know of. You should be able to message your school or school board to get desktops and have snapcad or solidworks installed on the computers for this purpose. You may also be able to have your students get certified if they use solidworks.

Thank you, my school does not hav any desktop or laptops. We’re a 1 to 1 chromebook school. :frowning:

For chromebooks, you could take a look at OnShape. Details and links are in my whitepaper: CAD for VEX Robotics.pdf (299.7 KB)

As someone else said, OnShape is a great resource. You can import any part you want, but it takes a bit of getting used to. However, it does take a decently fast internet connection, as it is all cloud-based.
