The construction of basic robotic structures for mechanical compression

I carried out this construction based on some images explored in the VEX IQ library

I transformed it into a 3D project and thus it is more complete for eventual reproduction for a certain robot mechanics activity.

Would you have more examples of fast and dynamic structures that could follow this same line to be shared here in this topic.

Thank you everyone for participating!

See you soon…

Very, very nice work. I really liked the site and all of the work that you’ve put into it.

I’ve been a fan of the double reverse 4 bar linkage, and the 6 bar linkage that are found here:

You started off with the 4 bar linkage, I don’t know if it’s worth it for your students to see the classic “clawbot” swing arm and where the stresses are on that.

The chain linkage is also interesting if you go into what happens when the sprockets are of different sizes.

Very cool work, thanks again for sharing it.

Hi @Foster :robot:

Thank you for being part of this discussion.

Well, I’m looking for other simple structures to create 3D reproductions and then create some animations for future instructions, if you know any other mechanisms feel free to share!

Have an excellent day! :love_you_gesture:
