Hello all, it’s that time of year again! Tomorrow, May 14th, the Q&A system for VRC Tower Takeover will open at this URL: https://robotevents.com/VRC/2019-2020/QA
To ask a question on the Q&A, users must be logged in to a RobotEvents account that meets one of the two following criteria:
- A Primary, Secondary, or Financial Contact for a team that is registered for the current VRC season
- A current / active Event Partner
If you would like to ask a question, but your account does not meet one of these criteria, ask yourself these questions:
Are you a student on an active team, but your adult mentor is the Primary Contact on RobotEvents?
Recommendation: Open a dialogue with your team/mentor about posting the question on your behalf. You may find that the simple act of having this conversation could find an answer that others have overlooked, or help to further refine/clarify the question. This way, by the time a question becomes an official post, it has already passed some of the “tier 1” checks (like searching the Game Manual), and has been “peer reviewed” to ensure that it is communicated as clearly and effectively as possible.
Are you a volunteer Head Referee not affiliated with an active team?
Recommendation: Contact the Event Partner for the event at which you are signed up to volunteer, to post the question on your behalf.
Are you a Primary Contact for a team, but the system will not let you ask a question?
Recommendation: Contact your REC Foundation Regional Support Manager for troubleshooting help. This could be due to a few different issues, such as not being logged in to the correct account, or the team not being recognized as “registered” for the current season. Your RSM should be able to investigate and advise accordingly!
Are you not affiliated with an active team or event?
Recommendation: Open a conversation via unofficial channels, such as this forum. At this time, the official Q&A system is only intended to be utilized by active competitors.
Thank you, and I’ll see you in the Q&A’s!
