I don’t think you’re thinking through this very well.
Making students(which would include freshmen) water proof their entire robot because it’s not meant to get wet but it’s going to is a terrible idea…
I Vex wouldn’t make us use our robots in a way that their not(and never have been) meant to be used

In all seriousness, a water game would be extremely challenging. First off, you would need VEX approved pontoons or make a hull out of plastic. What would be the game objects? I think having “bouys” with rods sticking up then javing robots place objects on it would be cool and extremely challenging. Basically skyrise in the water.
Of course there would be waterproofing, but I think that if there was a game like this created, most teams wouldn’t participate because if you don’t correctly waterproof, electronics (especially the cortex) get damaged, and most teams can’t afford to blow $250 on a cortex every other week. In addition, the field would have to be waterproofed. There are so many flaws with this idea lol.

I think it would be an interesting idea to have an underwater game that’s based off a race. Essentially one bot would be designated as the “racer” who scores points by driving laps or something and the other bot in the alliance can block the other alliance’s racer from scoring or block the other defensive bot from blocking points from being scored. Once again just an idea and probably won’t happen. The underwater part is perfectly possible. Our high school’s robotics 2 class does a segment where they drive their vex robots in the school’s pool.
