Games with different unique scoring elements create more unique and different robots, like turning point. But simpler games such as ITZ which is just pick up goal and stack creates a lot of robots that are basically the same, making the reveals boring to watch and the strategies and robots repetitive.
kinda haw turning point is… 95% of the time its a shooter bot…
I still believe in it
We Had Platforms
Tile Parking
Hanging
CLIMBING the other robot
etc.
I still want the ramp or rough terrain
So they could give Tournament Manager Operator a function to disable a team for exactly 15 seconds electronically, which sounds like the main issue you have pointed out in my suggestion. I do not yet see an easy way to make it natural or simple yet, but maybe in the future someone might develop a good tool.
I don’t think the hardware or software allows for individual robot control. It has blanket states for all.
That’s why there would have to be some fancy code upgrade to allow for single-robot control, as well as blanket control.
Look at this guy over here with his facts.
Yeah that sounds right. I guess we will have to wait a few years when they move away from VexNET towards bluetooth to see anything like that.
It’s a hardware limiting problem, just based on the diagram of the Field Controller.
I had an actual dream last week about the new game. I do hope it won’t come true…
there was a mass of barbed wire in the center of the field and you had to yeet caps into the barbed wire for points. It was called “karthik’s barbed wire badness” for some reason. It was terrible I hated it so much. I woke up breathing heavy.
I would **love to play that game
you wouldn’t…
In the dream I was all ready for the reveal, I had my notebook out, a bunch of parts to start prototyping, and then that was the game and I was so mad it sucked so much.
Imagine if the entire game becomes a “last scoring object.”
You just get seapearch
What’s a seapearch?
Basically they are competitive underwater robots. I think their matches are similar to vex iq where the teams work together to beat a score.
Water game- stick a field in a pool with a few unique scoring elements- vex/ sea perch crossover lol. The water proofing would be an absolute nightmare.
I hope it’s a lifting game
What if we float the field in the pool, if you tip it you lose, but there’s also a game
Its a fieldberg
