Someone told me that to win the Tournament/Teamwork Champion award, you neeed a engerrineering notebook. I cannot find the criteria for this award. do you need to have an engineering notebook or is it purely performance based.
Purely a performance award. You just need to be the team to win the elimination rounds at the event
To win a teamwork award a notebook is not required. However for an excellence award while not required it’s helps you a lot in winning the award.

Sorry I meant to say that you don’t need a good notebook to win excellence but it helps to have a good one
You actually do need a good notebook to win excellence. According to RECF, part of the criteria is, “Be at or near the top of all Engineering Notebook Rubric rankings with a Fully Developed Notebook. The absolute minimum for a notebook to be considered Fully Developed is scores of two or higher for the first four criteria of the rubric, outlining the initial design process of a single iteration.”
