Are we limited to only using VEX rubber bands (#32 & #64) for functional purposes? Some forum posts talk about the use of other rubber bands but rubber bands are not listed in <R7> additional “non-VEX” components. So one would infer that if we wanted to use rubber bands they would have to be VEX to be legal. This is our first year so we do not know if there are some ‘assumed’ general parts. Thank you.
Yes we’ve been able to use #32 rubber bands from Staples for years.
With last year’s game some people did some analysis across brands. The orange Vex ones are pretty good and are really Alliance non-latex variety.
