Our V5 battery won’t charge. When we plug it in, the green light stays on for a few seconds, then turns red. It’s a new battery and has only been used twice. What could be the issue?

Is there any reason this isn’t built into the Brain firmware?
I wrote the battery medic code back in 2018 when I inherited the battery firmware and had to fix a bunch of issues that the 1.0 release had. Originally it was just an internal development tool, then we released publicly. It was just never in the plan for the V5 UI and, as it’s nearly 8 years old, will not get integrated at this stage.
Did you follow all instructions including this part ?
Hold down the Shift and v keys on the computer’s keyboard and then click the V5 icon on the V5 Firmware Utility with your mouse. The icon is highlighted above in a red rectangle.
