V5 Brain Freezing Frequently and micro-usb ports caving in

We’ve been having some issues with our new V5 brains recently. both of the last brains we’ve bought have been freezing on every 3rd upload or so, and the only way to turn off the robot is to unplug the battery and plug it back in. Also, we’ve had a few brains here recently that the micro-usb ports cave in on under normal usage. Any ideas on why these might be happening?

I’m no expert on this, but it sounds like a software issue. Try updating/reinstalling the firmware. If that doesn’t work, give some time so that someone else on the forum can potentially suggest another solution and then try contacting VEX support.

This happens when sending a program to the V5 brain ?

VEXcode ? PROS ?
Blocks, Python or C++ ?

Sorry, forgot to add that bit in. We’re using PROS kernel 4 through the VScode extension.

How do you keep your brains, like matinence wise

we store them on their own, typically in their own boxes. Otherwise, they spend all year on a robot.
