V5 Screen replacement

I have a V5 brain with a broken screen.
I contacted VEX support, and they told me
"We do not carry spare V5 screens, as the V5 brains are received pre-assembled. "

Does anyone know a source for replacement touch screens?
…it was a 2025 purchase, I know internals change sometimes.

I have this some issue.

As it broken from use? I don’t know of any competition legal solutions.

Otherwise for non-competition use I guess you could take a screen off of an old brain with burnt out ports.

Yes, broken from use.
Students didn’t follow rule #1 - immobilize the robot. It drove off their desk… predictable results. Customer service recommended keeping the hat on. Don’t think that was our problem.

I think the best shot is to just buy another…

Yeah, you probably need to get another if it is broken from use, since repairing it could void the warranty and goes against some competition rules. I would personally just keep the broken one as a spare if you need it, and just get a new one (or, if you need a cheaper option, get a good condition used brain.) like many others have said.

Where we go, we don’t need warranties. I keep old & broken brains and remotes for spare parts. I’ve gotten pretty good at swapping components out of remotes…usually just joysticks but sometimes more.
