V5 work cell usage in Spin up

After scouring around in the depts of the game manual I have only found one mention of the vex work cell kit. The manual only disallows the 5.5w motors. But does not mention anything else about the kit. I was wondering if other parts of the kit are allowed such as the electromagnet(no mention of this in the game manual) or the weird conveyor chain, as well as many of the unique things in that kit.

The “legal parts list” for competition is currently the Vex robotics website catalog, when there is a V5 logo on a product page. So find the departure interested in, and see if it has the V5 logo approving it for use.

Well its not just that simple. It does have the V5 tag on it, so it should be legal right?

Workcell kit
< R6 > a.

“cross-listed” as part of the VEX V5 Product lines

Still should be legal right? It’s got the tag. But if we look at the V5 comp kit there is the" VRC, VEX U, VAIC legal" written after the V5 tag.

Does this just add more information that the comp kit is legal and the work cell is still legal, or does it mean that the work cell isn’t legal because it doesn’t have the specification? As the rules are written it should be legal, but I don’t know if it is intended to be legal or not.

Workcell parts (excluding the 5.5w motor of course) are definitely legal at this point under R6 because of the “V5” label.

Does this include the electromagnet?

It includes everything in the workcell kit bar the 5.5w motor.

Wasn’t electromagnets ruled illegal for VRC before?

That’s why I was asking.
