That’s a cake donut my friend
I do not believe that is true. Can you cite the specific document that assures spot at Worlds and registration fee is waived?
A friend told me. I probably should of fact checked it.
Here is the official document just released for the High Stakes season which specifies how teams advance
Spot allocation for each Event Region will be out in August.
There are important changes this season, and wise advice regarding getting permission from schools districts in advance of qualifying to Worlds to travel to Worlds.
I don’t think so… I pretty sure the actual prize is an automatic qualification for next worlds.
Im also sure that winning worlds will also get you noticed by colleges and scholarship providers.
Short answer - you are wrong. The topic you refer is from 2017. A LOT has changed since then.
Please refer to the Qualifying Criteria and you will note that past World Champions are not on list of advancing to Worlds. What is additional spots from traditional Event Region Championships in terms of performance options:
top 10 HS teams for V5RC from World Skills rankings who have not yet qualified. MS teams do not have this option.
Again, I highly recommend you read the official Qualifying Criteria document, if you find contrary information in it, please cite it.
There are other major changes that impact teams and Event Partners who planning for this season.
Good luck this season!
I kinda hate this game last game was so good and fun and this year is so tipping point and a old game and it’s sad like why did they do this to us
It looks just like this new game and it makes me cry almost.
To be honest, so what? That game is basically 13 years old. Nobody, minus maybe a few VEX U teams that played this in middle school, is gonna have ever played this before. V5 and Cortex are wildly different, so robots are going to be far different.
As for the Tipping Point comparison, goals don’t count for points themselves. On top of that, it’s difficult to score/de-score rings by just placing a ring on a goal, it takes actual effort.
I definitely have my complaints about the game, but overall I like the concept of bringing back an old game to see how new mechanics operate with it.
cake donuts exist?
wow, you learn new things every day.
Cake donuts are an alternative to the regular fried donuts. Shockingly they are baked rather than fried. If you are ever in California for whatever reason I recommend going to Sidecar donuts, they a few locations there and they have good baked donuts
Yeah they’re a little more dense than regular donuts. I would recommend trying one

Using the forum as a chat system will likely get your posts to be not approved. This back and forth on calling the Rings in the Game by other irrelevant names only diminishes the SNR quality of the topic at hand and result in it getting locked as its utility is gone.
The correct term for these game elements is Dorbs bucco…
I apologize for any frustration that my posts may have caused.
I will make sure to remember to make sure that my post is useful.
How would you be able to have an arm with both something to climb and pick up the rings?

In round up, they used the exact same scoring element, and they called it a tube…
Game manual question: how is meant to be interpreted? For context, the current version of my robot has the brain mounted upside down, close to the floor. it’s really the only convenient spot for it. I’m pretty sure I can edge-case my way past the 1st part (the off switch can be pressed without lifting the robot, although it’s pretty difficult, and I can make something to reach it with if needed. it’s not a rule that’s heavily enforced anyways). However, the 2nd part (screens/lights should be visible) concerns me. is it saying “referees can’t be expected to help with your robot mid-match if they can’t see the screen” or is it “the screen must be visible, otherwise it’ll fail inspection”. Again, it’s definitely not enforced much (i’ve seen teams that literally have to reach inside their robot to access the brain), but it would be much easier to fix now before I start adding other major components.
