Our team has a windows surface laptop, and I thought it would be nice to have the V5RC hub app on it so we can use it like a scoring laptop similar to what the score keepers have. Has there been anything like this done?
Hi!
The best way i know to run it (and how we do) is to use Windows Subsystem for Android.
Microsoft discontinued it last year, but I used these instructions to get it back. (It’s a little sketchy and I’m not responsible for breaking your computer!!)
Then, all you’ll have to do is use the Play Store to download the app.
Good luck!
I don’t think there is official app support for PC, but a few things you can do are:
- Use some sort of emulator to run the Android app on your Windows PC (look at tutorials online)
- Depending on what you need, you can get a collection of scoring tools, the rulebook, and other stuff to simulate all of the features of the app
